About the PositionFunctions as a competent Registered Nurse to provide safe and therapeutic care and coordination of services through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Follows organization infection control policies and procedures. At risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Provides MAR review for multiple OP sites.Education and/or Experience
At least two years direct experience working with clients who suffer with mental illness.
Working familiarity with psychotropic medicines.
Professional interest and commitment to working with the mentally ill and in the development of care systems for the mentally ill.
Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting, according respect to others based on knowledge and experience, as well as discipline.
Ability to tolerate the stress of a busy outpatient psychiatric care setting.
Ability to interact with consumers with sensitivity, tact and respect; as well as firmness, when necessary.
Knowledge of theories of human behavior, personality development and psychological and physical cause of mental disorders.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of group and individual therapy; understanding of principles and methods of intervention.
Familiarity with Washington Administrative Code regulations and professional standards governing the treatment of the mentally illCertificates, Licenses, or Registrations
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Computer Skills:
