Job/Position Summary:

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for any duties as assigned by the CNO. Is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the nursing care, ensuring that patient care needs are met during his/her shift, and providing physicians and patients with optimal service, in a cost-effective manner. Is expected to contribute to an environment supportive of personal and professional growth of self and others. Should exhibit dependability and coordinate individual professional practice with institutional priorities. Should participate as a member of the hospital management team. Must oversee the coordination of patient placement, serve as a resource to the clinical staff, and provide assistance with conflict resolution. Serves as a representative of Administration and should seek assistance as necessary.
