M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the Rice Street Clinic located in St. Paul, MN.
Join the St. Paul Rice Street Clinic in a Primary Care setting! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.
This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
Schedule and shift to be determined based on clinic needs
Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 6:30PM
$3000 New Hire Bonus is offered for this opening!
To be successful the Medical Assistant must:
Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures
Gather information and documents to support the patient visit
Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines
Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow
Current Medical Assistant certification by the AAMA or AMT or graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program and able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) MN Board of Nursing
Current BLS certification required upon hire
Previous experience in a clinic setting
Willingness and ability to work at other locations
