Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Ophthalmic Oncology Surgery, Outpatient
Hours: 8 hour shifts (Monday through Friday)
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to provide comprehensive care to the Ophthalmic Oncology Surgery service to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients (Pediatric and Adult), implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

You Will:
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
Provide comprehensive care to Ophthalmic Oncology Surgery patients (Pediatrics/Adults)
Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
Will cover pediatric and adult patients in outpatient clinics, inpatient floors and perioperatively.
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
NCCPA certification
Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
A minimum of 3years of related experience is preferred
BLS certification/ PALS certification/ALS certification
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:
Current New York State (NYS) RN and Family Nurse Practitioner licenses/registrations.
Certified Operating Room (OR), First Assist credential mandatory
Masters degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
3+ years of related clinical experience
Related National NP certification
BLS certification/ PALS certification/ALS certification
