Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric Care Provider functions as part of an intensive care team designed to intervene with those patients at risk for the most negative of clinical outcomes including danger to self or others, grave disability, or re-hospitalization. This position is predominately responsible for medication management, referral, and ongoing consultation with accepting providers.
REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree with emphasis in Behavioral Health; 2 years work experience in Behavioral Health setting; knowledge of DSM-V diagnosis and ability to prescribe medications within standards of psychiatric care; effective communication skills both orally and in writing; proficient in use of electronic medical record and computer systems; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other providers and members of the care teams.
