JOB SUMMARY                                                                   


LOCATION: John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital  (Medical/Surgical - 6E Unit)
SHIFT:  7:00 P.M. -  7:30 A.M.  (36 hours a week/72 hours a pay period)   

The Clinical Nurse I is a professional care provider who is responsible and accountable for providing and coordinating safe, effective indi vidualized nursing care to critically ill patients and supportive care to significant others. Assesses patient's needs and pain, implements and evaluates nursing care according to established standards. These activities require nursing judgment based on application of scientific principles of nursing, problem solving and teaching / learning.  ( MULTIPLE VACANCIES)


Any NNOC member who responds and/or accepts this position will waive his/her right to the 60 (sixty) day trial period In accordance with Section 4.4(N) of the CBA as of the date of this posting.

   
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
  • Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). ( Must provide proof at time of interview ).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) year of prior Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
