The Geisinger Addiction Medicine program is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to work in our growing Medication Assisted Treatment Program. The incumbent will practice in outpatient settings in the Northeast - Geisinger South Wilkes Barre and Scranton, and will work on a multidisciplinary team that provides MAT to individuals with an opioid or alcohol use disorder. Applicants must possess an active PA license, and the requisite DATA2000 Waiver that governs the prescription of buprenorphine to treat addiction. Preference will be given to applicants that possess or are close to qualifying for a limit of 100 buprenorphine patients.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of a nurse practitioner program approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing required.
Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required.
Certification from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner Required.
Experience in a professional psychiatric setting such as a psychiatric inpatient unit or psychiatric consultation or emergency service is preferred but not essential.
