Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to be the Program Manager for the Community-Based Medical Management program for adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring substance use disorders and/or developmental disabilities who are enrolled in residential services with MHSADS. The Program Manager:
Promotes integration of mental, behavioral, and/or developmental health with medical, physical and nutritional health.
Provides clinical and administrative oversight to a team of nurses who assess medical, physical, and nutritional health needs of individuals enrolled in Residential Services, assist individuals and their treatment team with navigating health systems, and liaison between residential services and medical providers.
Assures adherence to best practices and compliance with Board of Pharmacy, Nursing, and other State and Federal regulatory entities.
Ensures availability of nursing supports 24/7 via maintaining the on-call rotation.
In concert with the Residential Services Leadership Team, the Program Manager develops, implements and monitors policies and practices pertaining to medical case management, medication administration, and medical supports. The Program Manager and the team of nurses work collaboratively with the staff in Residential Services. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management abilities in program development, personnel management, transition planning, budget oversight, and resource allocation.

Current, active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Masters Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing
Minimum of 4 years related professional experience in the provision of nursing services including supervisory experience
Must possess strong organizational skills; and demonstrate an ability to function as a member of a mobile clinical team
Bilingual high desirable
