Works with the Operations Director to provide operational and clinical leadership assistance to the General Surgery and the specialty- specific outreach clinics. Responsible for day-to-day operational activities, human resources management, patient safety, performance improvement, as well as all regulatory requirements. Supervises and coordinates activities of essential licensed and unlicensed clinic ancillary staff.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Medical Center and General Surgery Service Line in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Collaborates with non-clinical support services to ensure adherence to JCAHO, DOH, Performance Improvement and Infection Control standards.
Meets qualifications to provide care to patients in specific age range in assigned clinical areas.
Reports directly to the Operations Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse currently licensed in Pennsylvania required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred.
Minimum two (2) years in related field of nursing required. Maintenance of clinical competence in assigned clinical area required. Previous management experience preferred.
BLS required; ACLS preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinical/office environment. Some travel may be required.
