The RN is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care activities through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary care team in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.Â The Charge Nurse is responsible for complete oversight of all patient care activities during their assigned shift and will have supervisory responsibility for other RNs, LPTs, LVNs and MHTs.

Education: Â Graduate from an accredited RN program required. Bachelor's Degree preferred (II & III).Â Masters Degree preferred (III)
Experience:Â Experience in the acute psychiatric health care field is preferred.Â At least one year experience in the psychiatric field required (II).Â At least five years experience in the psychiatric field required (III).
Licensure & Certification:Â Currently maintains an active RN license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.Â
Psychiatric Nurse Certification preferred (III).
Additional Requirements: CPR with AED (CPR/AED) certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.Â You must successfully complete the Fremont Hospitalâ€™s non- violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.Â You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
