The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a full time process engineer-clinical quality and safety to support its missions of academics, healthcare, and research. Please see the position description and requirements below.
The department of Performance Improvement applies standard process improvement methodologies to various projects that are prioritized to help achieve UMMC Quality and Safety Goals each year. The process engineers facilitate teams of front line providers for this work with structure and standardization that are the building blocks for quality outcomes. These engineers evaluate processes and outcomes across the continuum of care, which include measurement, analysis and the reporting of data.
This individual will use their applied knowledge of lean, six sigma, and change management to lead their assigned quality improvement team toward the established goal with regards to a given scope. He/she will be a change agent, methodology expert, and catalyst to move UMMC forward toward a high reliability organization.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, engineering, business, or a process related field and five (5) years of managing improvement projects. Lean or six sigma and healthcare experience preferred
