Job Description: The Practice Administrator is the person who leads the Practice in managing operations, finances, human resources, risk and compliance, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have excellent demonstrated leadership, communication, empathy, and relationship building skills. This individual will have 4+ years experience in practice administration demonstrating a track record showing high competence as well as reflecting high intellect, high energy and high integrity.
Reports to: Managing Partner and Board of Directors
Primary job responsibilities include:
Managing daily operations which includes supervising the nurse manager for the ambulatory endoscopy center and supervising the clinic manager.
Oversees business and financial affairs of the practice including accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and monthly monitoring of financial performance.
Responsible for ensuring the organization meets requirements for accreditation and licensure. This includes periodic AAAHC accreditation of our ambulatory endoscopy center. Responsible for ensuring the organization is in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Hires staff with knowledge of employment law including compliance with EEOC rules and regulations. Evaluates staff and communicates performance expectations. Fires staff for appropriate cause. Establishes competitive staff compensation and benefit plans based on local market competition. Develops job descriptions for staff positions as the need arises.
Responsible for ensuring a high-quality and safe environment. Maintains a program in which quality care measures are recorded and reported, including CMS quality measures and implements care coordination that results in the best patient outcome.
Negotiates most favorable contracts with third party payers as well as optimizes purchasing and asset management.
Ensures appropriate insurance coverage including physician malpractice, and facility liability insurance.
Oversees capital equipment investment as well as building maintenance and operation. Oversees and manages new projects a the need arises.
Additional Salary Information: Total compensation will consist of base salary, performance bonus and benefits. Benefits include health, dental, 401(k) with profit sharing retirement plan
